202. Surviving COVID pneumonia and a stroke with Doug and Tamra Gunderson

"Expect MIRACLES" Doug and Tamra planned to celebrate their 31st wedding anniversary but both had been sick with covid. Doug's sickness had not been getting better. He went to their local community hospital in Burns Oregon. After a look at his lungs, the doctor wanted to send Doug to Bend which is 2 hours from Burns. He was taken by air flight to Bend's St. Charles hospital. Doug tried to recover in progressive care but things took a turn for the worse and Doug had to be placed on a ventilator in the ICU. Doug had spiritual experiences during this time that gave him the desire and fight to stay alive. While in the hospital, Doug had a stroke that caused paralysis on the left size of his body. The doctors also found a hole in Doug's heart. After 1 month of being apart and not knowing if Doug was going to live, Tamra was able to reunite with Doug and encourage him to keep fighting and never give up.
