Unlock The 5 Levels of Scaling a Profitable Brand
01/09/24 • 39 min
The other day, I read a news article about a 13 year old kid from Oklahoma who became the first person ever to win the video game Tetris.
Long believed to be an impossible myth, the player – Willis Gibson – reached level 157 and a score of 999,999, launching the never-seen-before “kill screen” where the game crashes and there’s nothing left to play.
The video game of Tetris was first launched in 1985, so it’s taken humans nearly 4 decades to master every possible level of the game.
Thankfully, it doesn’t need to take that long to achieve each level of growing a business!
Though understanding what each level of scale is and how to master it will be a necessary starting point if you do want to master the game of scaling a business.
I’ve spent most of my career helping business owners scale their companies through mastering their marketing to acquire more customers.
Customer acquisition was THE key to scale...or at least I thought so.
But over time, I began to realise we were just scratching the surface as it relates to “scaling a company...”
Because scale is about so much more than just revenue growth and customer acquisition.
There are 5 distinct levels, or phases, you must pass through in order to successfully scale a profitable business.
And, if you aren’t growing nearly as fast as you want, chances are you’re stuck in one of them.
So in this episode, I’m going to share what the five levels of scale are and what you need to do and achieve at each level before you can move on to the next.

This New Way To Set Goals is the Key to Success in 2024
Most business owners I know are ambitious. They’re aiming to create something significant with their business.
But many struggle with goal setting. Either because they don’t know how to do that (without playing ‘pin the tail on the donkey’ with their revenue targets!)
Or, because they’ve set goals in the past and missed them by a big margin, and then felt miserable.
There are two problems here: first, they’ve missed the crucial first step in the process.
In doing so, they’ve set themselves up to feel like they never measure up. Which is pretty demoralising...
And secondly, they underestimate what they can achieve in 10 years and overestimate (often by a LOT) what they can achieve in one year.
So again, they set themselves up to fail.
Rather than let you start the new year like that, I want to help you to start off strong.
Tune in to this first episode of 2024 to hear me explain my ‘new’ way of setting goals that truly is the key to your growth and success in 2024!

How Your Creative Content Helps Achieve Your Growth Goal
One of the biggest frustrations a lot of eCommerce brands struggle with is the constant need to produce creative content.
Typically, photography, graphic design and copywriting is not a core skill set, and so it becomes a time-consuming chore frequently procrastinated over.
But if you find yourself always on the back foot, trying to produce some content for social media, or for a major promotion, you’ll know the stress this causes!
Unfortunately, this kind of scenario leads to content that’s just “thrown up for the sake of having something there”, rather than content that’s strategically planned and intentional.
And this leads to sub-standard results from ad campaigns, email campaigns, and any other marketing efforts.
With the way digital platforms now work, we all need to be producing and sharing new creative content on a much more regular basis.
The way algorithms work requires fresh creative content in order to engage viewers and produce the best results.
Meaning, in order to convert sales at the highest, most profitable rate possible, we all need to be producing more new content, more frequently.
And this requires a systematic approach to content creation in order to achieve your growth goals.
In this podcast episode, I explain how I approach this and give you a step-by-step guide to building a content creation system in your own business, designed to help you achieve your revenue targets. (Preferably without as much hustle and overwhelm!)
Let’s dive in...
