How often do we get in our own way? We are sailing along smoothly when all of the sudden we do or say something that sabotages our own success. People work so hard to get to the next level in their lives and when they get there they are usually responsible for the rapid fall from grace. In this episode I try to explain why we do it and what we can do to prevent it.

Your objective on every prospecting call is to meet with the prospect, however time, availability or the gatekeeper don't always allow for that to happen. So rather than it being a wasted trip, take a few minutes to write a hand written, personal note outlining the reason for your visit and asking to schedule a future appointment. It won't always work, but over time it will make an impact. I'm so thankful for all of my amazing subscribers and I encourage all listeners to leave a review.

Saulle Says: Transformation
Saulle Says

When you get to be my age...which is old...you realize that you are running out of time to be the person you want to be and accomplish all of the things you want to accomplish. So you realize that you need to make fundamental and often times significant changes in your life.
Usually those changes are small and are done over time. However, sometimes it requires a massive overhaul. I opted for the latter. Why? Because I've tried baby steps before and it got me nowhere, so I decided to implement a series of profound changes all at once. This is the story of what I am doing and the inspiration behind my metamorphisis.
Hopefully, you will find some value in my personal experiences and it will help you create a new journey of your own. It's only been a month, but I feel like a completely different person in many ways.

Saulle Says: Seven Sales Secrets - Part I
Saulle Says
11/09/20 • 13 min
The latest episode is Saulle’s Seven Sales Secrets. I'm particularly excited about this episode because the "secrets" can be applied to any sales professional in any field.
Sometimes my ideas come to me through personal experiences while other times I’ll find inspiration through an article or book that I read. Regardless I always try to put my unique spin on topics so they are relatable to you. Sometimes it’s helpful to hear a perspective from someone who has tried, failed and tried again.
I don't always break any new ground or revolutionize the sales industry, but I do share some insights that I’ve collected over the past 25+ years in sales. I’ve been a sole contributor, a sales manager and currently a regional director, so I’ve seen and done things from many different perspectives. And I can tell you this many of the things I learned and was taught early in my career still applies today.
I probably would have made a lot more money and been promoted a whole lot sooner if I would have listened and implemented some of these ideas sooner. I was so cocky that I figured I knew everything I needed to know and I could get by on personality and persistence...that was a big mistake.
I believe you can be successful without embracing all of them, but I KNOW you will be successful if you do.

Saulle Says: Character
Saulle Says
03/11/20 • 14 min
The greek translation of the word character is "imprint on the soul." Others say it is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual. In my mind it's quite simply the sum of the qualities that define a person.
How you define it is less important than whether or not you have it. Because character is arguably the most important trait that a person possesses. It is critical in finding the right spouse, friends and employees. This episode delves deep into the importance of character and identifies the six traits that I believe are essential to finding a person with strong character.
