Self-Evaluation: A Path to Personal Growth and Holding Yourself Accountable to God's Plan
Self-evaluation is a powerful tool that can help individuals hold themselves accountable and promote personal growth. The process of reflecting on one's own experiences, behaviors, and accomplishments can help individuals better understand themselves, identify areas for improvement, and set goals for personal growth and development. This can be especially valuable for people seeking to become the person God wants them to be.
One of the key benefits of self-evaluation is that it helps individuals identify their strengths and weaknesses. This self-awareness can be particularly useful in the context of faith and spiritual growth, as it can help individuals understand where they may need to work on becoming more like Christ. By identifying areas where they need to grow, individuals can set specific goals and take action to become more like the person God wants them to be.
Another important aspect of self-evaluation is accountability. When individuals regularly reflect on their own experiences and behavior, they can hold themselves accountable for the actions they take and the choices they make. This can be especially important in a faith context, where individuals are seeking to live in accordance with God's will. By regularly evaluating their own behavior, individuals can ensure that they are living in a way that is consistent with God's plan for their life.
Self-evaluation can also be a powerful tool for personal growth. By regularly reflecting on their experiences and behaviors, individuals can identify areas where they need to improve and set goals to work towards. This can help individuals grow in their faith and become more like the person God wants them to be. For example, if an individual realizes that they need to work on becoming more patient, they can set a goal to practice patience in their daily life and work towards becoming a more patient person.
In conclusion, self-evaluation can be a valuable tool for individuals seeking to become the person God wants them to be. By promoting self-awareness, holding individuals accountable, and facilitating personal growth, self-evaluation can help individuals live in accordance with God's plan for their life. So, take time to reflect on your own experiences, behaviors, and accomplishments, and use the insights you gain to become the person God wants you to be.

New Testament, Matthew 6-7, He Taught Them As One Having Authority, Come Follow Me
From Come Follow Me:
The Sermon on the Mount is one of the best-known discourses in Christianity. The Savior taught with rich images, such as a city set on a hill, lilies of the field, and wolves disguised as sheep. But the Sermon on the Mount is far more than a beautiful speech. The power of the Savior’s teachings to His disciples can change our lives, especially when we live by them. Then His words become more than words; they become a sure foundation for life that, like the wise man’s house, can withstand the world’s winds and floods (see Matthew 7:24–25).

New Testament, Matthew 8 Mark 2-4, Luke 7, Thy Faith Hath Saved Thee, Come Follow Me
From Come Follow Me:
One of the clearest messages in the New Testament is that Jesus Christ is a healer. Accounts of the Savior healing the sick and afflicted are many—from a woman with a fever to a widow’s son who had died. Why the emphasis on physical healing? What messages might there be for us in these miracles? Certainly one obvious message is that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, with power over all things, including our physical pains and imperfections. But another meaning is found in His words to the skeptical scribes: “That ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins” (Mark 2:10). So when you read about a blind person or a leper being healed, you might think of the healing—both spiritual and physical—that you can receive from the Savior and hear Him say to you, “Thy faith hath saved thee” (Luke 7:50).
