Rough Cut Film Review

Rough Cut Film Review takes a look at the much laughed at John Carter (of Mars) which suffers from being a 100 year old pulp novella, having a duff leading man, having it’s most interesting ideas pillared by other films and also the fact that everything is called something really silly like “baasoo” - not entirely rubbish but entirely inexplicable to think anyone involved with this would bet their own money on this being a success.
Tagline - Lost in Our World. Found in Another.

Tagline - The extraordinary true story of Solomon Northup
Rough Cut Film Review takes a look at the latest Oscar baited slave biopic “12 Years a Slave”. The fact that the IMDB Plot Summary comes directly from FOX tells it’s own story and it name drops BIG TIME (here it is).
IMDB Plot Summary -
Based on an incredible true story of one man’s fight for survival and freedom. In the pre-Civil War United States, Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a free black man from upstate New York, is abducted and sold into slavery. Facing cruelty (personified by a malevolent slave owner, portrayed by Michael Fassbender), as well as unexpected kindnesses, Solomon struggles not only to stay alive, but to retain his dignity. In the twelfth year of his unforgettable odyssey, Solomon’s chance meeting with a Canadian abolitionist (Brad Pitt) will forever alter his life. Written by Fox Searchlight
