RECAP TIME:
Our heroes reunited the fragmented parts of the ancient map and delved into the first of the tombs, Yelanriae, along with the pirate crew of the Oddmium Trist.
The voyage was led by Captain Ryse Killid, deathlock of Onru the Labyrinthine, and his only goal was to find a home for his pilgrim god in a secret borrowing that lay beyond a great seal. He was seconded by his First mate, Detrius.
As they approached the final tomb, the map offered a warning “your final sacrifice is in bearing the terrible weight of the truth.”
The tomb was hidden beneath an island that had been hollowed out, a puzzle embedded within it to hide a teleportation stone. That stone led to a demi-plane of ash and mazes, and atop a hill was a mansion. Leralith met our heroes, a reanimated memory of the sorcerer that created this place and the prison below it, the King’s Hold.
Over 40,000 years ago, the Kings Hold was made to entrap Enthor, Ora’s deity, should he be corrupted by the Malignant Domain as he feared. And it had since been repurposed by the Ones Above as a location to hide one of the One Thousand Seals, and to cover up mistakes of the Entanglement’s past.
Our heroes delved through the Kings hold, facing reanimated horrors, puzzles and twin obelisks that consumed spells. But through they went, and in the Seal Sanctum, Detrius opened the great sealed door, and revealed himself, hidden by a spell like true polymorph: Xethir. Nemesis, and herald of the Malignant Domain.

Roll Models D&D: Episode 97 – Rise of the Malignant Domain
RECAP TIME: After reuniting the ancient map of Zarlumai, our heroes embarked on a perilous sea journey, guided by Captain Ryse Killid, the odd but the enigmatic Deathlock of Onru who was intent on locating a sealed “burrowing” dimension in the Entanglement for his dark god's sanctuary. Their first stop was Yelanriae, hidden beneath the seabed, its once-preserved chamber now distorted by undeath. After defeating a Loyalist, formerly a Paladin to Enthor, they claimed the Blood Key and a rot pearl for Moxie's spellwork. The final map marker pointed to a mysterious island, forewarning of a heavy sacrifice. The island revealed itself as a hollowed enigma, concealing a polished obsidian portal stone. Upon touching it, the party were transported into a surreal realm: ash, short mazes, skeletal trees and a sprawling mansion, all covered in lithifying ashen snow. They were met by Leralith, the preserved mind of the sorcerer who created this place... the King’s Hold. As they delved into the dark of the King’s hold, they soon found out why. Making it through the entrance, they continued into the misty depths... Making their way to the deepest part of the hold, the Seal Sanctum, Detrius used the blood hkey to unlock the great seal covered a huge doorway. As the seal shattered around them, Detrius revealed himself as Xethir, under the influence of the true polymorph spell and powerful cloaking magics. Xethir made for the opening burrowing beyond the great door, and our heroes attacked. The Captain calling that they must not let him enter the sealed burrowing beyond or it will be forever lost... _____ Welcome to Roll Models, an actual play DnD Video Podcast! Roll Models D&D: Episode 99 – The Cosmic Surgepyre
RECAP TIME:
Finding the final location on the ancient map of The drowned city, Zarlumai, our heroes found themselves in a demi plane of ash. There they were chaperoned through a strange mansion by Leralith, the reforged memory of the sorcerer who once created this place, and they discovered the Seal Sanctum was beneath them in a prison called the King’s Hold.
Our heroes delved through the Kings hold, facing reanimated horrors, puzzles and twin obelisks that consumed spells. But through they went. Finally in the Seal Sanctum, Detrius opened the great sealed door, and revealed himself, hidden by a spell like true polymorph: he was Xethir. Nemesis, and herald of the Malignant Domain.
Our heroes fought furiously, Xethir summoned a giant horror from the malignant domain. They fought to kill Xethir before the great sealed door opened fully. To stop him from claiming what lay beyond.
They succeeded, but not without injury and loss. The captain was dead. But as everyone rested and communed with their gods, Ahmaya saw something in the depths of the borrowing beyond the seal... A great glass tower before a nebula of stars.
