#009: Skills vs. Feels
03/30/15 • 61 min
Welcome to the Rhythm N' Groove Podcast, we apologize for missing the podcast in the last few weeks. Lone and I have been reevaluating our priorities and as we said in episode #001 of the podcast, it's okay to change and adjust your goals, learn from your mistakes, and correct them as you go. That's what we've been doing and we explain our reasons in this episode of the podcast. We share Lone's progress on developing his fingerstyle tabs, and Haze's progress on the guitar. We also discuss our opinions (no spoilers) on the recent movie Whiplash, and compare it to one of our favorite movies, The Legend of 1900. We talk about how skills should be used to show off the music, and not the other way around. We would love to hear what our listeners have to say about either or both of the movies, and the musicians and themes featured in the movies. Please share your thoughts with us! Send your emails to [email protected] or join the conversation at the Rhythm N' Groove Facebook group. We look forward to hearing from you!
