I thought I’d sit down and go through my story about how I developed an oblique strain playing baseball, how I rehabbed it successfully to play baseball again and what I would do differently next time (if there ever is a next time).
I posted an article and video about my story that has gotten a lot of attention on the web, which translates into people emailing me to ask me questions about what they should do.
They write me pretty frequently about how they found hope by reading my success story since, but they also reveal their frustration about how there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel for them. I find this very sad because all of these people can’t find anyone with experience in how to assist them in their recovery aside from the boilerplate “rest and see how it goes.”
I only used complete rest for a few weeks and then I took the active approach... That was more than 3 years ago now and I feel great.
Listen to this podcast if you know someone dealing with an oblique strain, abdominal, a “pulled muscle in their side,” or even a sports hernia.
Enjoy!
