Intro to the Renewed Mama Podcast

Welcome to the Renewed Mama podcast.

I’ve been on a nine year journey of intentionally renewing my mind and the words I speak. I care about using words well to speak life, hope, encouragement, and belief. I don’t always get it right, but I want to live and to walk in the fruit of words chosen carefully and spoken well.

You see, somehow we’ve been sold this lie that we are to be run down, worn out, carpooling, over committed, too tired to make dinner, got another headache so can’t be intimate kind of mama.

That couldn’t be furthest from the truth! I don’t want that kind of life. I want to thrive. I want to love life. I want to stop and look my children in the eyes and truly listen. I want a chasing, expectant, love relationship with my husband.

I want to make these days on earth count. I know you do, too.

The number one way we can do this is to renew, Mama.

We need to renew the words we think and say because we are living the life we sow with our words.

Sometimes we’ve got to renew our parenting approach because what we’re doing now just isn’t working, it isn’t connecting.

Sometimes we need to renew our communication because we’re not saying what we really mean in a way that will be received in love and consideration for the hearer.

And sometimes we need to put a higher priority on that husband of ours because we keep missing each other. But I believe that we can do this as a Renewed Mama.

This renewing isn’t a one time thing. It’s a daily, moment by moment renewal....where we intentionally check in with our thoughts, we don’t ignore the feelings, but we choose the right words to speak, to act on, and to believe.

That’s the number one key that keeps us staying Renewed, Mama. And we are going to do it together.
