David G from Oklahoma is Sober member of AA since 08-08-1994 having had a life changing spiritual experience in 1995 as a result of the 12 steps as outlined in our Big Book he soon learned he had no idea how grow & develop with it. He found that yesterday’s miracle wasn’t sufficient for today! Other things began to compete for that experience & they eventually won out. In 2019 he reached an emotional bottom in sobriety. He suffered from a spiritual illness brought by a human condition - self. He was freed in 2019 & has continued to grow and walk emotionally free ever since! David is also a co-host on the Reco12 Big Book Roundtable that releases every Thursday morning on your favorite podcast platform. Today David speaks on the power of revealing self.

Matt and Carriss speak to us today on emotional sobriety and restoring intimacy.
Although sexaholism was pervasive in Matt's family of origin, he didn't know there was a name for it until his wife's own sexaholism brought him to S-Anon in 2021. It wasn't until he was about nine months in that he finally realized he had work to do on himself, and by the end of his first year in recovery he'd completed his step work and had become a new person. It used to be that he couldn't imagine life being any worse, but now, by the grace of God, he struggles to imagine it can get any better.

Carriss is a grateful recovered sexaholic from St. Louis and has been a member of SA since August 2021. Carriss joined the program to save her marriage but when she accepted her sexaholism as a disease and began working a rigorous program she saved herself. Carriss's life, marriage and attitude have changed for the better and for these reasons she is grateful to be a sexaholic.

Justin and Erin B are an amazing couple who have run the gauntlet in sex addiction and betrayal trauma. They share here in a live conference hosted by SA Lifeline Foundation in Lehi, UT in September of 2022. Their story of addiction, betrayal, fear, pain, and recovery and hope will inspire all who listen. Their honesty and vulnerability are amazing. They speak on the importance of qualified therapy, active and dedicated working of the 12 Steps for both partners, and the real pain and collateral damage that happens in addiction.

Guest Intro and Bio: My name is Antonella. My parents separated when I was two years old. I had a very dysfunctional childhood which led to a life of unmanageability and maladaptive thinking acting in self will. Using drugs, alcohol, food and relationships for ease and comfort to cope. In the midst of an unhappy marriage my 14-year-old was expelled from school for using drugs. It was suggested to us to send my child to a treatment center. It was there, when I read the 12 Steps on the wall, that I realized I needed this help myself. This started my recovery journey and the qualification to several 12 step programs.
Welcome to the Reco12 Speaker Meeting. We are an organization whose addictions include alcohol, drugs, lust and sex, food and gambling, just to name a few. We come together from all places, faiths and backgrounds to learn the similarities of addiction and to gain tools and hope from others who are walking a similar path. We invite recovering addicts with at least 1 year sobriety and who are actively working their recovery in their respective fellowships to share their experience, strength and hope on a live Zoom meeting, each Friday at 12:00 pm central time, for 20-25 minutes. Then, we, the live audience, get the opportunity to ask questions of the speaker for another 20-25 minutes. In order to ask questions, please type them in the Q and A link at the bottom of your Zoom window. If you are hearing this podcast recorded and would like to participate as a live audience member, or if you would like to be a guest speaker in a future meeting, please go to www.reco12.com to learn more and submit your email address there to receive weekly invitations or to submit to become a guest speaker.
When we line up a speaker for a meeting, we ask them to seek guidance on what and how to present so that they can reflect the light that they have been given. That light will inspire hope, meaning, worth, and growth in us, the listening audience.

Reco12 is an ad-free service and we appreciate your help in keeping it that way. We gratefully accept contributions to help cover the costs of the Zoom platform, podcast platform, web hosting, and administrative costs. To contribute, you can go to https://www.reco12.com/support or you can click the link to PayPal https://www.paypal.me/reco12 in the chat of the live meeting. When you contribute, please specify the meeting number. This is meeting number 27.
If you have found value in this service, please take a moment to go to the podcast platform of your choosing and leave a rating and review. It helps us work our 12th step by carrying the message of recovery to more addicts who suffer.
We will be back live on New Years Day with a very cool guest, Tom B, a member of AA and sober since

Cathy came to Overeaters Anonymous Sept 2013 because she could not stay stopped from hurting herself with food no matter what she tried! A miracle of healing happened 4 years ago when Cathy finally conceded to herself that she will never have enough “will power” to abstain from compulsively overeating. Only a relationship with a Higher Power does for Cathy what she cannot do for herself. In today's meeting, Cathy shares on the crux of the problem.

Karen A. from Jerusalem, Israel is a proud Mom and member of the Spiritual Gangsters, Noodle with Nikki and Reco12 Family. Karen had addiction running through her family. She lost her baby brother, when he was just three days out of rehab, to an accidental overdose of morphine.

Karen entered the rooms of OA. She knew that a spiritual approach was the only solution to her addiction and all of life's other challenges, such as codependency, Al-Anon-ism, and love addiction.

Karen guides sponsees through the Big Book of All Addictions, especially in areas of - CoDA, Al-Anon, SLAA, etc. She specializes in carrying the message of AA to Orthodox Jewish women worldwide who otherwise would not have access to recovery.

She speaks to us not as the Host of the Reco12 Afro Euro Time Zone but as a Speaker sharing her Experience Strength and Hope. Providing a deeper insight into relationship as she continues to work with others during her Spiritual Recovery Journey in Jerusalem, Israel during a time of an internal and external War.

You will not want to miss this one if you are a married person working your recovery. John belongs to AA and Recovering Couples Anonymous (RCA). Early in Sobriety, he became a single parent to 3 kids due to his ex-wife's addictions. While AA became a way of life, John found great difficulty applying the principles in his marriage. Although he wasn't drinking he would withdraw under emotional pressure. John joined RCA in 2019 and started a recovery program in his marriage. Today he actively tries to merge his Higher Power in his recovery, marriage, and faith.

Here is a little about Golda in her own words:

I started in DA, tunneled into AA, found media addiction recovery, then worked the steps out of the BB for chronic compulsive eating and chronic compulsive codependency. Today I live in 10-11-12 and take people through the steps and guide them how to stay in 10-11-12 one day at a time. This has been a 34 year journey.
