Episode 90 - A Child in Trauma - With Shona
Shona joins Madeleine to detail part 1 of her story of continued family violence and sexual violence at the hands of her father. Shona describes the trepidation she felt as a child living in the home with an erratic and abusive father. She also describes the sexual violence she was subjected to as a young girl. Years later, after the birth of her child, Shona was also subjected to stalking and intimidation. In an effort to protect her daughter from the man who had abused her, she began to disclose the abuse to her family, and later to the Police. Shona is an incredible human, and i am so proud to call her my friend too! She will detail in Part 2 the court and legal proceedings and what life has been like for her following the conviction of her father.
