Lauren Kennedy West is a social worker, public speaker, mental health advocate, and mother of three. In her early 20s she started to develop symptoms of psychosis including hallucinations, delusional beliefs, and paranoia which ultimately led to multiple psychiatric hospitalizations and a diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder. She has documented her struggles and successes navigating the mental health system through her YouTube channel “Living Well with Schizophrenia” where her videos have been viewed nearly 25 million times. Robert Jones | Exonerated after 23 years in prison and the path to overcoming obstacles.
Robert Jones was wrongly convicted and imprisoned for 23 years at the Louisiana State Penitentiary (Angola) for multiple crimes including murder, kidnapping, robbery and assault that he never committed. While imprisoned he got his GED, taught himself law, and later with this aid of The Innocence Project of New Orleans he was fully exonerated in 2017. While in prison he developed his own system for becoming mentally tough and overcoming obstacles in the face of tremendous adversity.
