Lauren Kennedy West is a social worker, public speaker, mental health advocate, and mother of three. In her early 20s she started to develop symptoms of psychosis including hallucinations, delusional beliefs, and paranoia which ultimately led to multiple psychiatric hospitalizations and a diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder. She has documented her struggles and successes navigating the mental health system through her YouTube channel “Living Well with Schizophrenia” where her videos have been viewed nearly 25 million times.
