S07E002, Just Do It, Endurance
06/18/23 • 11 min
In this episode, Nathan and Steven encourage us to do what we are supposed to do without procrastination - to just do it.
Endurance is your weekly spiritual workout, whether you think of yourself as a beginner, an intermediate, or advanced!
#GoDeeper
Steven begins this week’s GoDeeper with an obvious example from exercise and a warning against procrastination. He refers to Ephesians 5:16, which tells us to make the most of every opportunity.
Steven confesses that he is superb at procrastinating but helps us see that it is wrong. He challenges us with a passage from James which speaks of faith with actions. Ultimately Steven challenges us to make the most of every opportunity and to just do whatever God is calling us to do.
#GoDo
Nathan and Steven talk about how and why the ‘Just Do It’ way of thinking is often not only necessary but Biblical.
Sometimes, it’s better to ‘just do it’, even if we don’t feel like it or circumstances aren’t ideal. Otherwise, we waste time and opportunity that we may never get back.
Check out this week’s episode to find how the phrase ‘Just Do It’ helps us in our Faith and Fitness.

Endurance is your weekly spiritual workout, whether you think of yourself as a beginner, an intermediate, or advanced!
#GoDeeper
Steven first learned to solve a Rubik’s Cube during a recent time of illness. Since he didn’t feel fit enough to exercise or study, but felt determined to achieve something, he sat down and had a bash at solving the Rubik’s Cube. After getting nowhere fast, he turned to the internet and learned how to solve the Rubik's Cube.
Through learning to solve the Rubik’s Cube Steven learned three additional lessons. 1) Sometimes we need the help of others. 2) There is value in writing what we learned down. 3) The importance of humility.
He goes into further detail into these lessons that he learned.

S07E003, Play the Hand You’re Dealt, Endurance
This week, Steven and Nathan are looking into the idea of making the most of what we have in exercise and in life.
Endurance is your weekly spiritual workout, whether you think of yourself as a beginner, an intermediate, or advanced!
#GoDeeper
Playing the hand that you’re dealt is an expression referring to card games. It means to make the most of one’s circumstances or situation. Steven uses this expression to illustrate how best to use the equipment we have available to us in exercise, as well as the gifts, skills and talents we have in life.
He reads from Romans 12 which challenges us to use our spiritual gifts to the best of our ability. He also reads from 1 Corinthians 9 where Paul urges the Corinthians to be all things to all people. Basically, we need to minister to those around us not those we wish were around us.
#GoDo
Nathan and Steven are thinking about playing the hand you’re dealt, but not just in card games.
They talk about how they’ve done that in their exercise – how they’ve made the most of what equipment and opportunities they have.
And they think about how we can really make the most of whatever circumstances we find ourselves in.
Check out this week’s episode to learn how to make the most of what you have in your Faith and Fitness.
