Psych Explained

A series of recent events spurred me to talk about the importance of our names, and how it relates to our cultural/ethnic/racial identity. Listen to why I got rid of my 20 year old nickname of “Dr. C.” My new “what could have been” name is also revealed in the podcast. (Edit: Now I've settled with "Dr. Jack" for my students, but if someone calls me "Dr. C" I won't mind!).
TED talk related to pronouncing names correctly: https://youtu.be/58tDCaEWfHI.

In this podcast, I offer my perspective as an instructor, on the distinctions between ‘traditional’ (strange to call them traditional) online courses versus the newly developed ‘remote’ learning courses that have come about due to the Covid19 pandemic. I hope you find this podcast useful.

In this episode, an app review for educators using the Canvas Teacher app on an IPad. My feedback is based on use of the app since June, 2020 after purchase of a used 10.5” iPad Pro. Correction from podcast: PDF documents do render within the app, PowerPoint files do not.
