Prioritizing: Graduation

You guys got some graduates out there? Gotta pickup some grad cards and some cash from the ATM in celebration of a culmination of years of parenting and hard work. Parents, grandparents, extended family will be coming in from all over to help celebrate a very joyous occasion, that of your child crossing the stage and collecting a degree/diploma/MBA for which they have worked and strived so hardcore years on end. Today we discuss a few feelings about such things and an upcoming party for one of our own kids, our last in fact, is about to cross the stage and it's never an easy thing to hug your grad goodbye, but this was our youngest and last son, so perhaps a little more difficult.
We talk a little about the many things it took to get there, the expectations from Dad during the process, and what may come out of the whole thing. Join us in lamenting over the void, but cheering on our son in this episode.

Graduation season is upon us. This caused a time of pause and reflection for me as I looked back on several fond memories with just him and I as well as things we all did together as a family. It hurts to let go, and it is ever so important to do so. I lament just a little bitten this episode about the angst as a Dad recalling the many cool things we did together with my now-graduate and the ending of this chapter with the beginning of the next. If you are going through the same thing...know that you are not alone. And, it's ok to hurt just a little through this whole process.

Prioritizing: Father's Day

Father's Day is right around the corner. A time reserved to recognize Dad for all the hard work and sacrifice he has done to protect his kingdom and provide for his family. Not everyone gets to be called "Dad" as that is a title reserved for those special men who step up to the plate investing into their children and loving their wife as Christ loved the church which shows a fantastic picture for their sons just how a man is to treat his bride.
