Ep 17: On Ancestral Healing
01/23/21 • 82 min
This week’s topic on Ancestral Healing is not one that I’ve ever spoken to. And perhaps it was my ancestors themselves who inspired me to share this perspective with you.
As I am coming off of the heels on an Energy Healing training based in the ancient African wisdom, ancestral healing is ripe in my being.
The topic of connecting with ancestors might be a strange one for you. It certainly has been for me up until just a few months ago. And we often look at the traumas or imbalances we hold in our body as an “ancestral curse.” This episode invites you to create space for this new perspective: looking at the “curse” as the gift.
In this episode, I share the personal experience of trauma that has existed across generations in my family, my work / responsibility / privilege in clearing them, and experiences I’ve had being visited by my ancestors.
I hope this brings you clarity or curiosity. I hope it starts to fill pieces of the puzzle that have been missing for you. And I hope it brings you the reminder that you are not alone—now, nor have you ever been.
You are the embodiment of your ancestors’ wildest dreams! Sending you so much love, my fellow Birth Warriors.

Ep 16: My Favorite Moments of 2020
We made it, Birth Warriors! We survived, and in some cases, even thrived in 2020. Here we are stepping into 2021—perhaps with uncertainty or hesitation—but doing it just the same! In our very first episode for the New Year, I reflect on the moments in 2020 that brought me the greatest levels of joy, growth, and appreciation. And I end this episode with sharing the thought I am using as my guiding principle for the New Year. If it resonates with you, I encourage you to explore using it as well.
Here we go, Birth Warriors. We’re doing it! Sending you so much love for the year ahead!

Ep 18: Pregnancy & The Permission to Be Loved
How do you love and care for yourself when you’re pregnant or think you might be pregnant? And how differently do you treat yourself or ask others to treat you when you’re not pregnant?
We’ve entered into the month dedicated to love and while romantic love is fab(!), our first episode looks at the differences in how we love ourselves (love as an action) and how we ask others to love us when we’re pregnant vs. when we’re not. And on a deeper level, how we might be holding love and care from ourselves when we’re not in the “pregnant club.”
We’re taught that we deserve love based on conditions—our ability to give something in return, ie. a baby. And so, when it’s “just us,” we either deprioritize our own care or may not feel that we have the same right to ask for what we need as we would if we were pregnant.
In this episode, I share how pregnancy inherently gives a greater permission to be loved and cared for and the differences you may experience after a loss. I share examples from my own pregnancy journey and some that might have snuck into yours without your knowing.
The truth of the matter is that you are worthy of love—pregnant or not, TTC or not, ready to try again or not. And if you do nothing else this month, allow yourself to be loved just because you exist.
