Practice Ally Podcast

Back in my DSO days I realized that verbiage can make or break you. Fast forward to today when it's even more impertative, well because connection is becoming more and more important daily.

This week I took my dog Brady to the Vet for his annual and I also went for my bi-monthly visit to the chiropractor. These are two TOTALLY different practices, I know, but my point is they are in the medical field and both (especially my vet) are EXTREMELY busy.

The night after my appointment with the Chiropractor I recieved a text from him. "Hey Ashley, it's Dr. Johnson, I just wanted to see how you were feeling after yesterday's appointment?" We went back and forth a few times, he was extremely personable in the text.

The morning after Brady's appointment I got a call from my vetrinarian. When I answered she said "Hey Ashley it's Dr. Grimm. I wanted to call and see how Brady was feeling after his vaccines yesterday." We talked for a min and then disconnected.

I was super impressed by both of these expierences. I went back to my office the next day and sat down to do my follow ups. My office has pretty good treatment acceptance but for the patients that didn't accept treatment I decided to send them all a text with my Doctors permission . I looked up their cheif complaint in the system and sent them the follow message. "Hey Joe, It's Dr. Smith from Alta Dental. I wanted to see how that bottom left tooth was doing." Long story short after a few messages back and forth 67% of the patients scheduled their treatment.
