Who you tend to forget as you work on your podcast
07/12/23 • 7 min
Starting a Podcast you think about your topics, and the listeners you want to reach. You think about how you could monetize and which creative format you could come up with to delight your community.
Asking yourself these growth questions for your podcast is great!
But as you are busy creating and growing your podcast, you might have overlooked the most important person in the whole process.
Somenone who will be crucial for the success of your podcast so you can actually reach all your growth goals. That person is the one who will make sure that you keep focused, motivated and on track.
Press play to find out who that person is.
This person is you.
So today I want to encourage you to get really cosy and comfortable with yourself as you ask yourself:
In which ways do YOU, (not the Podcast, but you personally!) want to grow?
I want you to dig deep into what you want to learn by producing and creating your podcast, what do you want to get curious about, who you want to connect with, what you want to learn as a creator, as a podcaster?
I regularly revisit these questions for my own podcast, because as time passes priorities and growth areas shift. Sometimes I have outgrown my goals and I am ready to take on exploring new areas of self development. I know that as I grow my skillset and expertise alongside my podcast, so will my show. It's inevitable, my growth fuels my channels growth.
So pay attention to yourself in this process. I know it is easier said then done, because there is a lot of noise and distractions out there.
But remember, you, the creator, are the most important person for your podcast.
Without you, no podcast, no listeners, no community, no impact.
You are allowed to put your personal growth goals first. The rest will follow.
+++++++++++++++

Listen to an audio gift I created for my family:
PS: Although I mention in the episode that I always have kept these gifts private, I just realised I actually did air ONE SINGLE of these private audio gifts on my flagship #impact channel. It was the very hard covid christmas when we were still living in Hong Kong and we missed our family in Europa after almost 2 years not seeing each other so very much.
