Podcasting With Impact: Lead With Your Voice - ❤️AudioDiary | Who says that a Podcast launch has to be big all the time?

Today is a big day for me. It has been 1.5 years in the making. Today I am finally launching the new season of my flagship production #impact. I had to reschedule and delay the launch several times which makes me even more proud that I have made it here.

For my previous launches I would go all in and all out with live Instagram party's, off - and online events to mark this special day. I am still such a big advocate to create this big and celebratory moments for yourself and your podcast - because look at what you achieved really.

It's amazing and it absolutely deserves celebration.

So if you want to go BIG and celebrate I have something for you.

I want to give you access to this short tutorial on some celebratory launch ideas for your podcast that is usually only available to my Podcast Online Course Clients (Watch "Create Buzz & Fun Actitivies for your Podcast Launch Day & beyond HERE").

But here's the thing.

Maybe you don't feel like going big. Maybe you want to go SMALL.

I felt the same way. This time around I did not want to do anything grand. I just wanted this launch to be more intentional, for me. A launch ritual that would nourish and honour that I have made it here. Even more so as it has been such an intense journey to get here.

So in this episode you will here's what I did this time around. In it I share how I launched my new season - so very different from how I usually did it.

Because who says that a launch has to be big all the time?

A launch is a launch no matter in which way you decide to put your beautiful podcast in the world.

It can be big. It can be small. Or something in between.

I wonder, how would you launch your podcast if today was your launch day? Picture it. Feel it. Because your launch day will come. And please do share your launch episode with me when it does. I would love to listen.

Yours,

Regina

Podcasting With Impact: Lead With Your Voice - When your podcast time plan went to sh** (and how to still live your podcast dream)
play

03/02/23 • 8 min

You committed. You set a date to accomplish the next milestone for your podcast (to start it - to launch it- to market it.) But then, well, then things went to sh** Or maybe they didn't even go to sh**, maybe you just got really busy, or a new job, or a new projector a new whatever. So now you have two choices.

You can either

1) beat yourself up and obsess about it OR

2) you move on and keep dreaming your podcast dream as you readjust your plans.

I really wanted to offer you some raw Regina, after I just managed to somehow mess up my own time plan which led to missing the school bus for my oldest on what felt like the rainiest and windiest winter day ever.

(Gosh, me and my 3 little ones did look hilarious in our winter/raincoat outfits and racing to catch the bus...)

And while we are at not keeping (time) plans...

I was meant to send out this email to you already a few days ago, and actually I had planned to produce a much more sophisticated, polished tip for you.

As it turns out though, it proves my point. We plan, we schedule. And then things fall apart. Life is messy, we are messy.

So I want to encourage you to move past obsessing over getting everything right and exactly according to plan and instead keep moving forward.

Don't ever, EVER give up on your podcast dream, just because you have to readjust certain (time) plans, promise me that. Don't beat yourself up about it.

And you will get there. (As did my daughter who did manage to catch the next bus and made it to school on time. YAY! That's a win!)

There’s a lot of healing in podcasting. I see this for myself, the guests I invite on my podcast and the clients I support with starting and developing their podcasts all the time.
What begins as a podcasting journey - almost inevitably - turns into this beautiful journey of self discovery and self growth.
And this is what podcasting with impact is all about really. To me this means, a podcast is never just a podcast.
A podcast is an invitation to get to know each other better, to get to know ourselves better, to understand and listen to our own ambitions, to acknowledge the heartache and heartbreak that comes with being a human and to show up - for life - with curiosity and kindness. Heart-forward, hopeful, patient, unhurried.

I hope that through my sharing in this episode I can give you the confidence and courage to go into conversation with yourself as well as your guests, even touching on topics that are difficult to discuss, topics that maybe you have even shied away from in the past because you felt they were too painful or sensitive to address.

Wohooooo!!! I am back! After 3 years I am kicking off Season 2.

I've been so busy these last years, running and growing my flagship production #impact (Check it out here: https://www.hashtagimpact.com/listen) Recently I've celebrated the 6 year anniversary of #impact Podcast and here's where today's quick and actionable Podcasting tip comes in.

Celebrating a milestone on your podcasting journey is a huge motivation boost.

But as we are working on launching and growing our podcast we get so busy in the "to do's".

We tend to forget to honour all the things we did actually already achieve for our podcast. Thing is, if we let others in on how proud WE OURSELVES are of our achievements, they feel inspired too.

So what's the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about a milestone you already achieved for your podcast? Leave me an audio message below to let me know about your milestone. I'd love to include it in an upcoming episode!

Starting a Podcast you think about your topics, and the listeners you want to reach. You think about how you could monetize and which creative format you could come up with to delight your community.

Asking yourself these growth questions for your podcast is great!

But as you are busy creating and growing your podcast, you might have overlooked the most important person in the whole process.

Somenone who will be crucial for the success of your podcast so you can actually reach all your growth goals. That person is the one who will make sure that you keep focused, motivated and on track.

Press play to find out who that person is.

This person is you.

So today I want to encourage you to get really cosy and comfortable with yourself as you ask yourself:

In which ways do YOU, (not the Podcast, but you personally!) want to grow?

I want you to dig deep into what you want to learn by producing and creating your podcast, what do you want to get curious about, who you want to connect with, what you want to learn as a creator, as a podcaster?

I regularly revisit these questions for my own podcast, because as time passes priorities and growth areas shift. Sometimes I have outgrown my goals and I am ready to take on exploring new areas of self development. I know that as I grow my skillset and expertise alongside my podcast, so will my show. It's inevitable, my growth fuels my channels growth.

So pay attention to yourself in this process. I know it is easier said then done, because there is a lot of noise and distractions out there.

But remember, you, the creator, are the most important person for your podcast.

Without you, no podcast, no listeners, no community, no impact.

You are allowed to put your personal growth goals first. The rest will follow.
