Solinus, the Reformed, joins the other Heroes as they approach the Mercian village of Linbeck. There's a bitter Heir and his sister the dishonest Champion but it is the village's young Loon who needs help to escape angry water horses making the estuary unsafe. Then ... the elements perverted, an unholy island in the middle of the the estuary, and conspirators confronted when a sinister cover-up is discovered ...
