Between sessions the protagonists meet their new instructor in the art of defusing unexploded spells. They then deal with some of the fallout from the last mission: both physical and mental. We see them work hard to understand one another and find a way to move forward. Individually they also work to expand their circle of contacts-- and beginning planning for a play in their bombed-out theater HQ.

We meet Dr Paxt Bransom a smuggler and heretic from the techno-priest oligarchs of the Ceti Rho system; Bryzantimus 'Bryz' Sho born into wealth and influence in the Cadence system, but infected by an empathy virus telling him to 'Kill the Rich!'; Jord, resistance leader from the slave pens of Cancri-9, guilty at leaving; and Pleasant Ghuzan, whistle-blower and advocate for under-dogs across the Cluster.
Emerging from the Ring Gate into the Xolia system they receive a frightened mayday from the local Hub Slipstream Authority refueling station. There's initial over-confidence, then a steadier hand, and a good plan, before ... power armour, bullets and an appeal to common sense save the day.

We do world building, character creation, and safety in this first session of a new playset for Girl by Moonlight. Our protagonists have been drafted into a school of magic which is trying to change, manipulate, and even destroy them.
When they came of age, they found themselves whisked away to The School. They were thrown into a world of arcane knowledge, strange alliances, unresponsive staff, and dangerous facilities. Soon our protagonists noticed they could see things others could not: people with memories changed, deadly challenges others didn’t acknowledge, and vanishings which went unremarked and unremembered.
Now, as our protagonists enter into their second year, they’ve come to realize the school itself is a trap and a machine for some unknown purpose. They have determined to rescue those students targeted by the school and uncover the secrets of this place. But they must do this while keeping up their studies and avoiding the attention of the staff, teachers, and other entities.
