It's a lake fart! It's mummified Rasputin! No, it's the Van Gölü Canavarı, aka the Lake Van monster! The Van Gölü region of Turkey has been inhabited by humans for over 7000 years and ruled by multiple kingdoms. But there's another reported resident of the lake that's been sighted multiple times over the past century, the Van Gölü Canavarı. This large, serpentine being was even investigated by the government in the mid-1990s. Is there a giant lake monster making Van Gölü its home or could something else be causing all the strange encounters?
