Pinball Sessions' Podcast
Pinball Sessions are live, off the floor, pressure free recordings by some of Canada and the World's best artists. Recorded in Guelph, ON at the Pinball Studios, full sessions are released twice a week and can be found on http://pinballsessions.com. The Pinball Sessions Podcast offers up some of our favourite tracks as well as session room banter, interviews and other goodies unavailable on the Pinball Sessions website. For a 'behind the scenes' look at the making of a session, quirky questions asked to artists, and one of a kind moments be sure to keep an eye on the Pinball Sessions Podcast. THIS EPISODE: We get down and dirty with two hardcore roots artists: Gangstagrass and Christopher Paul Stelling. Gangstagrass blend hip-hop and traditional bluegrass, sometimes called 'Jay-Z meets Ralph Stanley.' Their track 'Long Hard Times To Come' is the theme song for the FX drama Justified and they recorded a session for us at Folk Alliance 2013. Definitely not your grandma's bluegrass as they perform their track 'Gunslingin' Rambler.' We then hear a short banter from of our next artist, Christopher Paul Stelling, as he prepares to record. Christopher Paul Stelling is a songwriter based in New York City who has toured the world playing his fiercely powerful songs, singing in a strong and weathered voice. His song Solar Flares was also performed at Folk Alliance this past year, just prior to the release of his new album and a European tour. CPS just doesn't stop moving. Both full sessions can be found at http://pinballsessions.com Gangstagrass: http://pinballsessions.com/2013/06/20/gangstagrass/ Christopher Paul Stelling: http://pinballsessions.com/2013/08/05/christopher-paul-stelling/ Gangstagrass Online: Web: http://www.gangstagrass.com Twitter: http://twitter.com/gangstagrass Facebook: http://facebook.com/gangstagrass Christopher Paul Stelling Online: Web: http://christopherpaulstelling.wordpress.com/ Bandcamp: http://christopherpaulstelling.bandcamp.com/ Instagram: http://instagram.com/c_p_stelling Fine Pinball Sessions Online: Web: http://pinballsessions.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/PinballSessions/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pinballsessions Instagram: http://instagram.com/pinballsessions/ Google+: https://plus.google.com/109652065469078482120/posts If you enjoy the Pinball Sessions Podcast we appreciate giving us a review and rating on iTunes.
