Then, the inimitable Leyla McCalla performs her piece 'Girl' inspired by a Langston Hughes poem, a hauntingly beautiful and unique performance. THIS EPISODE: We travel Canada to hear some great roots music from Saskatchewan duo Kacy and Clayton, and three time Juno-award winner David Francey. Kacy and Clayton are second cousins who grew up very near each other in southern Saskatchewan. They strong ties to a classic roots sound - Leadbelly, The Stanley Brothers, Alan Lomax and more - is clear in their subtle, scaled down and beautiful folk songs. Today we feature their song 'Henry Lee.' We get to hear some studio chatter as David Francey preps for his session. A winner of three Junos, a SOCAN Folk Award and John Lennon Songwriting Award, Francey is a national treasure and we were grateful to have him visit Pinball Studios.
