Kinematic Sequence, How To Practice Correctly, Why Playing at Small College Doesn't Matter - 103

02/13/19 • 30 min

Patrick Jones Baseball
With new technology and data, the game is quickly changing. In this episode I talk about a company that is taking over baseball called, K-Vest a 3D motion capture system. I actually bought one, it's well worth it. I also talk about movement screens and why you need to understand how an athlete moves, realizing you can still get drafted out of a small college, and continuing to grow as a person/player.

Pitch Recognition with Dr. Peter Fadde - 104

In an era where mechanics is highly sought after, pitch recognition can take a back seat. In this episode I welcome on Dr. Peter Fadde. Dr. Fadde is a professor of learning design and technology at Southern Illinois University. He is also the co-founder and chief science officer of Gamesense Sports. We go over different ways to improve pitch recognition, how Dr. Fadde got started in baseball, and how MLB teams could incorporate this in the future.
