Hi, I'm Chris Anne Coviello. Welcome to Pathways, my brand new podcast. Thank you so much for being here and for listening. I've spent nearly three decades, exploring wellness, healing, health, nutrition, exercise, all the things. So I began my journey as a massage therapist, and then it became a yoga teacher and a Reiki master, and I got into somatic experiencing and I'm a trauma informed somatic practitioner. I have worked with Tibetan Singing Bowls and gongs and cacao ceremony, doing retreats and classes at the Denver Botanic Gardens, all the things that just contributed to many years on a journey of wellness and health. I'm currently working on my master's in social work and my whole life is really just about supporting other people as they walk their own unique path to what feels like their best life. It's always been really important to me to know that everybody heals differently and it's not just like a one time thing that happens and you're done. One of my favorite poets and writers is a woman named Brianna Weist. You can find her on social media and online. She has several books. I have all her books. I love her poetry. and she has a quote that says, healing is not something you do once. It is a way you learn to bring yourself back from every disappointment and defeat. It is how you learn to soothe yourself to validate the way you feel. It is how you learn to take care of yourself, and to bring you back to the person you are meant to be. Healing is not something you do once and then never again. It is a way of living that allows you to no longer carry what hurts. It is a way of living that allows you to walk free, and that is definitely something that I have personally felt on my own journey and how that really just changes over time and what you need and when I've been a big fan of podcasts for many, many years and have gotten so many great book recommendations and ideas and things to try out through the years. So this podcast is really an inspiration born out of this three decade- long journey of my own and it'll be a space to explore all of these different ways to heal. I'll have conversations with therapists, healers, teachers, authors, all kinds of everyday people who have powerful stories to tell. We'll talk about their practices, their breakdowns, breakthroughs, the tools that they use things that worked and didn't work, turning points that shaped their lives. From psychology and philosophy to somatic spirituality, nutrition, exercise, health wellness, my hope is that pathways inspires you, supports your own journey, and reminds you that you're not alone, and there are many many different ways to heal and to come home to yourself, and to the way that you want to feel. Escaping the Drama Triangle: Conscious Relationships & Inner Healing with Danielle Vance
In this inaugural episode of Pathways , I sit down with longtime friend and deeply insightful therapist Danielle Vance—known as The Resiliency Therapist —to explore the emotional patterns that keep us stuck in dysfunctional relationships.
We talk about the Drama Triangle , a powerful framework that reveals how we unconsciously play the roles of victim, rescuer, and persecutor—and how to shift into more empowered, conscious ways of relating. Danielle shares how her spiritual path, somatic training, and real-life experience shaped her healing philosophy, and how relationships—especially the hard ones—can become sacred spaces for transformation.
We also dive into tools for nervous system regulation, embodied boundaries, and the power of owning your “stuff” in the name of true connection. Whether you’re navigating family dynamics, partnership challenges, or your own inner healing, this conversation offers wisdom and practical insight to support your journey.
