Janice Liggins, a black businesswoman, had been running her own successful business when she had a calling to do something quite different. In this episode, she tells her very powerful story of how she was guided by God to form a non-profit organization (The Clarion Call) that works to stem the flow of children towards the prison system. She also hosts a related TV show. And, after going through that process, she was divinely inspired to write a book - Journey to Your Calling - which is a roadmap to guide others in how to realize their own true calling. One of the keys is heeding God's call and allowing God/Infinite Intelligence to lead us. Our conversation explores all of that, and I found it to be interesting and educational. You will too. Today's episode is a must-listen for spiritual seekers and explorers. It is my conversation with Roxanne Chaput who is a soulpreneur, shaman, healer, and spiritual guide. Soulpreneur is a play on "solopreneur", but she defines it as anyone who is serving their soul's mission to serve others - and I absolutely love that word. In this conversation, we cover a lot of spiritual ground but a big take-away is that it is crucial in life to get in touch with your own soul. Your soul is your very essence and true self - and to know your soul you must become more self-aware. Roxanne explains that shamans are called, at the level of their soul, to be healers. She helps us understand that energetic healing work is all about getting in touch with your spiritual, cellular, and emotional nature and true self. We must wake up and start making more conscious choices in our lives and pay more attention to what life is teaching us. But one of the big problems is that most people tend to make awakening complex and difficult when in fact it is simple once we truly realize (know) that we are spiritual beings. As spiritual beings we can take our power back and begin to live more powerfully and creatively. You will love this episode - my conversation with Phillip Mountrose (holistic/spiritual coach and energy healer) included an experiential exercise in how to shift to "living life from the mountaintop" which puts one in touch with their soul. Phillip and his wife Jane are the authors of multiple books, including their latest - The Loving Power of Your Soul: A Guidebook for Realizing Your True Potential. We talked about the soul and especially how to connect to it. Awakening can be defined as "being fully connected to and led by your soul or your true self". Phillip spoke about soul presence, one's soul plan, soulfulness, and what he calls soulful kinesiology. And I agreed 100% when he said connection to soul leads to unity and wholeness. In other words working on soul connection is a very powerful way of awakening, oneness, and achieving wholeness in its fullest sense - spiritual, physical, mental, etc. This was a delightful conversation.
