ANDY FRISELLA | Real AF
Order of Man
07/14/20 • 95 min
Gents, today I am joined by the one and only, Andy Frisella. I don’t say it lightly but this is hands-down one of the single best podcast conversations I’ve had since starting nearly five and a half years ago. We all know the world is in chaos and, frankly, it seems like so few of us are willing to have the tough and difficult conversations that we need to have in order to come up with some solutions to what ails us. Today, Andy and I address many of those concerns as we talk about societal issues, having difficult and important conversations, his life-changing 75Hard program, what the successful all have in common, and how you can take charge of your life.
SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
- Business strategy
- Social agendas
- Bowing to the pressure
- Making intelligent decisions
- Expressing your views
- Offering a different perspective
- Addressing real issues
- A painful history
- A level of ignorance
- Law and order
- Effective leadership
- The comparison trap
- Becoming an elite
ANDY FRISELLA
As I mentioned before, today I am joined by my good friend, Andy Frisella. I started listening to his podcast, MFCEO, roughly five years ago and I was immediately impressed with his ability to tell it like it is. He is the founder of the extremely successful supplement company, 1stPhorm, and the host of the number 1 podcast in the world, MFCEO. Since making that podcast so successful, he transitioned into talking about the real issues that seem to be plaguing society and launched his second podcast, REAL AF (which I believe is better than his first). I had the chance to spend the day with him at their new 200,000 sq. foot facility in St. Louis and was absolutely blown away with the facility and every single person in the 1st Phorm “phamily” that I met.

STEVEN PRESSFIELD | The War of Art
Order of Man
06/25/20 • 75 min
The act of creation is something we have a desire to do but just because we desire to create doesn’t make it any easier. In fact, creating and putting your work into the world for others to judge is one of the most challenging things a human can do. There are a lot of reasons for this but ultimately it boils down to what my guest today calls, “resistance.” I’m honored to be joined by someone I’ve admired and respected for a very long time, Mr. Steven Pressfield, and today we talk about what “resistance” actually is and how it manifests itself differently in people’s lives. We also talk about the arrogance of planning, the culture of virtue, identifying the “soul’s code,” why work can be like war, and how to equip yourself for it.
SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
- The voices in your head
- Putting in the work
- Improving over time
- Making better mistakes
- Working the problem
- Defining professionalism
- The amateur mindset
- Going through a process
- Finding your calling
- Playing the long game
- The artists' journey
- Infallible wisdom
- A culture of virtue
STEVEN PRESSFIELD
My guest today is the one and only Steven Pressfield.
Needless to say, many of you are already familiar with at least some of his work, including The War of Art, Do the Work, The Warrior Ethos, and Gates of Fire. But what a lot of you may not know is that Steven wrote for 27 years before his first novel, The Legend of Bagger Vance, was published. So, obviously, he knows a thing or two about putting in the work and overcoming resistance in all of its forms.
Since then, he’s gone on to sell millions of copies of his books and has become one of the most influential figures in fighting through challenging times, paying your dues, and teaching others how to succeed as creators. Gents, this one is such a powerful conversation. I hope you enjoy it. MAINE EVENT
Last week, I talked with you about the Legacy Event which is for fathers and sons but this week I wanted to share our next event, Maine Event, which will be held October 9th-11th with an exclusive Iron Council dinner the evening of the 8th. Over a period of two days, you’ll work alongside 100 other motivated, ambitious men to create a Battle Plan that will help you roll into 2021 in full stride and ready to seize all that the new year has to offer you. You’re going to get one-one coaching, group accountability, camaraderie, and the type of conversations and insights that most men just don’t get in their day-to-day activities.
We only have six spots remaining so if you’re even remotely interested, please head to www.orderofman.com/maineevent as quickly as possible to lock in one of the last seats to this incredible experience. Again, head to www.orderofman.com/maineevent, to learn more and claim your seat.

I don’t consider myself uniquely talented, gifted, or blessed. But there is one factor I excel at that has given me more opportunity than I could have ever imagined. And, the best news is that all of us, regardless of our inherent gifts and talents, can improve our capacity to excel in this factor.
I’m talking about the ability to connect and network with other individuals. And, I can think of no better person to talk with us about how to develop that skill set than the founder of Business Network International, Dr. Ivan Misner. Today, we talk about farming vs. hunting in networking, how to connect with powerful people, why so many people struggle with making connections, the 3-part system for maximizing relationships, and how to build a powerful personal network.
SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
- The single greatest skillset
- Teaching leadership
- The V.C.B. process
- The Time Confidence Curve
- Networking isn’t hard
- You got to show up
- Getting more referrals
- The fear of public speaking
- Speak without speaking
- The 29% Solution
- Networking success
- Six degrees of separation
- The “Givers Gain” core value
- Serving others
- Premature solicitation
- Leading with curiosity
- The third-party testimonial
- Building a referral system
DR. IVAN MISNER
My guest is someone I have admired and respected for a very long time. His name is Dr. Ivan Misner and he is the founder of Business Network International (BNI) which has over 9,600 worldwide chapters and has over 250,000 members. Last year alone, BNI resulted in $16.7 billion dollars worth of business for its members.
Dr. Misner is also a New York Times Bestselling author and has written 24 books including his latest, Who’s in Your Room? He’s been called the “Father of Modern Networking” by CNN and tapped as one of the “Top Networking Experts” by Forbes. He has also been honored as “Humanitarian of the Year” by the Red Cross and is the recipient of the John C. Maxwell Transformational Leadership Award. I could go on and on by sufficing it to say the man knows how to network, how to connect, and how to help you do the same.
BATTLE PLANNER FOR KIDS
Several months ago, my son suggested making a Battle Planner for children. He had seen the one that I created for myself and wanted to make something for himself. After a lot of work together and the investment in making it come to life, both he and I are proud to announce that the 90-Day Battle Planner for Kids is now available in the Order of Man merchandise store.
If you have a child and want that child to have a leg up, the 90-Day Battle Planner for Kids is the tool you need to help them get on track, identify important priorities, and develop the discipline and consistency needed to thrive in life. Inside, you’ll find 90 Daily Trackers with daily non-negotiables and a section where they can identify important daily activities in each of six important facets of their life. But the most important thing is that you’ll personally have a framework to work alongside them in building confidence and getting important work done!
