Murder Before Midnight

On a snowy New Year’s Eve in 1945, Toronto’s elite gather in the grand ballroom of the Royal York Hotel, where the dazzling music of Mart Kenney and His Western Gentlemen fills the air. Beneath the glitter and celebration, trouble stirs when notorious fixer Jimmy Callahan drops dead, a champagne flute shattered at his side. Poisoned, it seems—but by whom?

Detective Mick McCathie and his partner, Mack MacNeely, are called to untangle the mystery before the clock strikes twelve.
