Off scRIPt EP 3 ft. Gerry Sandusky
03/14/23 • 54 min
Gerry Sandusky is a broadcaster who has become most known as the play by play, or “voice” of the Baltimore Ravens during NFL football games.
Gerry began his broadcasting career in Miami, Florida. He has now been at the local news station WBAL (NBC) in Baltimore, MD since 1988.
If he is not broadcasting on TV, Radio or Podcasts, Gerry can be found giving speeches or providing consultation as a Leadership Communication Coach.
Gerry is a tremendous storyteller that is always polished, even when we are “off script.” However, his rise to being one of the best in the industry didn’t happen over night. He faced many challenges and learned many lessons along his way. His story and journey is quite entertaining. I hope you enjoy.

Welcome Darius Jennings (DJ) to the podcast. Darius is a Baltimore native who played Wide Receiver in the NFL for 7 seasons. He played for 6 teams, beginning his career as an undrafted rookie with the Cleveland Browns. His most notable run came with the Tennessee Titans. Coming out of high school, Darius was a top recruit coming out of the Gilman School. He was an All-American and the Maryland Gatorade Player Of The Year. DJ and I have known each other since we were about 7 years old. He dealt with serious adversity along the way, but that did not phase him from having a successful career.
