Off scRIPt EP 3 ft. Gerry Sandusky
Off scRIPt with Rip
03/14/23 • 54 min
Gerry Sandusky is a broadcaster who has become most known as the play by play, or “voice” of the Baltimore Ravens during NFL football games.
Gerry began his broadcasting career in Miami, Florida. He has now been at the local news station WBAL (NBC) in Baltimore, MD since 1988.
If he is not broadcasting on TV, Radio or Podcasts, Gerry can be found giving speeches or providing consultation as a Leadership Communication Coach.
Gerry is a tremendous storyteller that is always polished, even when we are “off script.” However, his rise to being one of the best in the industry didn’t happen over night. He faced many challenges and learned many lessons along his way. His story and journey is quite entertaining. I hope you enjoy.

Off scRIPt EP 8 ft. Ryan Ripken (That's Me)
Off scRIPt with Rip
04/20/23 • 36 min
In this episode, I decided to talk about my own journey. I have been asked by many people since I discuss journeys and stories of others, I should I sit down and explain a little bit of myself.
I am from Baltimore, Maryland and attended Gilman School. I went to the University of South Carolina and Indian River State College for one year each. After my sophomore year of college, I was drafted by the Nationals in the 15th round and started my professional career in 2014. I played for 8 seasons with the Nationals and Orioles organizations. I reached the AAA level (one below the Major Leagues) and retired from baseball in the summer of 2022.
I grew up with a recognizable last name. My family was well known in the baseball world and in the community. Many people know me as the "son of Cal Ripken Jr", but I want you all to just meet Ryan.
