Not-for-Profit on Purpose

Should my Not For Profit in Australia Do Well or Do Good? // If you’re a not for profit in Australia then at some point you might ask yourself, should my not for profit in Australia do well or do good?
Nonprofit management will often go back and forth with between these two outcomes and really they tend to fall into two different categories. If you’re wanting to do well in your nonprofit then typically that would fall under nonprofit strategic planning or nonprofit strategy as it’s business outcome based. However, the desire to do good falls into the non profit project management category as it’s about the ventures you’re taking on to make a difference.
Nonprofit management 101 will see to it that both of these outcomes are met but through this video I want to dive deeper into what a not for profit organisation is likely to encounter by pursuing either one of these outcomes. If you run a nfp in Australia or you’re putting together a non profit organization business plan then this episode is for you.

5 Tips when Expanding Your Not-for-Profit

5 TIPS WHEN EXPANDING YOUR NOT FOR PROFIT IN AUSTRALIA // If you have started a not for profit in Australia then chances are the time will come when you need to expand past the kitchen countertop. In this video I give you 5 tips when expanding your not for profit in Australia.
These tips centre around your nonprofit strategic planning and require you to consider each major area of your not for profit to ensure governance is adhered to, budgets are running well and staff are managed appropriately. Nonprofit management requires a little more attention than regular for profit companies as there are extra areas of governance and policy that need attention.
Your not for profit organisation needs leadership to consider the nonprofit business plan, budgets, staffing, premises, governance, policies and subsequent documentation. Any not for profit organization ignoring any one of these aspects will, at some point, find themselves in hot water.
