As the F1 championship battle enters the final stages with only seven races to go, the teams headed to Sochi for the Russian Grand Prix. Still on a high from their surprise Monza success, McLaren were eyeing another victory as Lando Norris took his first-ever pole ahead of Carlos Sainz. But as the rain fell with only a few laps to go, the young Briton paid the price for being on the wrong tyres and Lewis Hamilton roared home to his 100th grand prix victory.
