In a telephone interview, Dr Malloy talks about strategies on how to change the perception of GPs in the health sector as specialists. He also says the career structure of GPs need to evolve in scope and activity to improve GP career pathways, as well as calling for health resources to be targeted to bridge the equity gap between the haves and the have-nots.
