Alright - welcome to My 90s music podcast - the podcast where I talk to the people who lived, loved and were in the eye of the storm of the best decade ever - the glorious 90s.
Today I speak Chris Helme who is a vital singer / songwriter who went from learning guitar and singing in the early 90s to working and playing in pubs and busking on the streets of York to fronting the band after The Stone Roses called it a day - The Seahorses.
It was a whirlwind journey and career. Chris continues to write, tour, play and collaborate with the best musicians around and I am so excited to hear Chris’s latest work including a lockdown album and also future collaborations with members of Bluetones, Dodgy, Cast and more.
THERE WE GO. What a blast TO TALK TO Chris Helme about his 90s experience.
Do follow Chris on @chrishelmerwords on twitter to see what he’s up to and also you can buy handwritten song lyrics of Chris’s songs which are super cool - I have one myself. Do support Chris if you can. I am so excited to see what Chris does next, especially regarding the collaborations Chris was telling us about towards the end of the episode.
