On today’s episode, Jennifer King shares her journey to becoming the first African American female assistant coach in the NFL and how you can position yourself in a way that consistently adds value. Listen in as Jen and Jennifer discuss the benefit of a short memory, managing your personal brand, and preparing for opportunities before they arise. Jennifer also shares the best advice she’s ever received from a coach.

Jennifer King is currently an assistant running backs coach with the Washington Football Team, making her the first African American female assistant position coach in NFL history. Jennifer also coached for Dartmouth college and was a coaching intern with the Carolina Panthers and also served as an assistant wide receivers coach and special teams assistant for the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). Jennifer was also a seven-time All-American quarterback and wide receiver for the Carolina Phoenix women's tackle football team from 2006-2017. In 2018, she played wide receiver and defensive back for the New York Sharks, who won the 2018 WFA National Championship. Jennifer also played wide receiver and safety in the District for the D.C. Divas women's tackle football team in 2019. Jennifer was also the head basketball coach of Johnson & Wales University - Charlotte Campus from 2016-2018.
