MOUTHFUL OF GRAFFITI - GOIN' 'DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE' WITH KELLY OGDEN OF THE DOLLYROTS

Mouthful of Graffiti

On this show, I spoke with the ‘Awesome’ Kelly Ogden of The Dollyrots. Her bandmate Luis Cabeza was with us in spirit. Their infectious brand of indie pop/punk rock has covered the gamut from fun, in your face, rock n’ roll jams like “Everything”, “Because I’m Awesome” and “Brand New Key” to touching and unexpected covers like “Earth Angel” by The Penguins and Little Eva’s “Turkey Trot”.
Just yesterday they embarked on their ’Down the Rabbit Hole’ US tour which kicks off on July 14th in New Jersey at The Saint and wraps on October 9th in San Diego at the Kensington Club. I’m super stoked to have ‘em on the show. Join me in welcoming the hare-raising Dollyrots to The MOG, ‘Because, well, they really are awesome!’
Feed the Scene and Rappolla Entertainment are bringing The Dollyrots to Zen West on July 21st.

MOUTHFUL OF GRAFFITI - KALY CLAUSS 'SHED' HER 'SKIN' AND LEFT IT ALL ON THE TABLE

One look at her social media platforms and you’ll see that Kaly Clauss is as much of a plantsman as she is a musician. Her music has a folksy blunt with a kiss of southern spirit and her lyrics are a magic carpet ride back to a time when life seemed simpler.
It’s all sewn together with sturdy roots and a touch of post-modernism. She loves home, time alone with her plants and pen and more importantly, protecting her heart with Squishmallows. Join me in welcoming Kaly Clauss to THE MOG.

MOUTHFUL OF GRAFFITI - THE SON OF SILVER HIMSELF, MR. PETE RG, STOPPED BY TO 'READ US OUR RIGHTS'

Pete RG, otherwise known as ARGY, is a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter and producer whose current project, Sons of Silver is creating seismic activity in the Golden State. Their blend of 70’s, 80’s & 90’s rock n’ roll has a twist of modern sensibility that would get Jack White’s blessing.
Pete has perfected the art of writing catchy, yet meaningful rock music for an age longing for a new voice. The Sons of Silver is familiar, yet fresh. Produced, yet organic. It’s a melting pot of self-awareness, blues and soulful honesty that’s hellbent on putting rock n’ roll back on top, in a distracted generation where the Internet killed the radio star.
I’m happy to have Pete on the show. Join me in welcoming the Son of Silver himself, Mr. Argy, to The MOG!
