It's well and truly winter now, so we're off to Norway for some good old fashioned undead Nazi mayhem with 2009's "Dead Snow". It's one of the best examples of Scandinavian horror comedy and even though it's a bit of a slow start, we can't get enough. So make sure your Nokia is charged as you follow the snowmobile tracks into this rant about meh characters but amazing deaths, breaking into other horror movies, our disdain for Black Metal, Ciara bigging up Finland in a Norwegian film and Mono cowering from Black Metallers.

32: Evolution (2001)
After all the doom, gloom and horror of the last few episodes we decided to change things up a bit with a film about... about a world threatening alien invasion (oh well). 2001's sci-fi comedy "Evolution" doesn't get highlighted often enough these days when it really deserves to be. Find out just why we think that in this rant about bad scientists (but good science), visuals that really hold up, more monsters that eat the rich, total squirrel domination and the technical difference between a mooning and a fruit basket. 34: Night Watch (2004)
We're off to Russia this week to jump back into one of our favourite fictional worlds with 2004's visually stunning, narratively complicated Urban Fantasy "Night Watch". We love the films, we love the books, but we know how to separate the two in this rant about adaptions standing on their own merits, authors with shitty worldviews, a messy protagonist that could teach Tom Hardy a thing or two, how vagueness can be a good thing, some Winnie the Pooh comparisons and being denied a trilogy in favour of a shitty Hollywood movie.
