Five Ways in Which Positive Self-talk Habits Can Impact Your Self-care
08/04/22 • 31 min
In this episode, Dr. Peggie Kirkland (PK) delves into the impact that negative self-talk has on women. According to PK, your internal dialogue frames the narrative messages that you tell yourselves over and over. This narrative has the ability to change your mood and more significantly, can lead to depression and anxiety; the more you do it, the more it becomes embedded in your subconscious until it becomes a habit. It is therefore important to start reversing that process by doing things like thought-stopping, blocking out time for self-care, filling your tribe with positive people and more. Please take a listen to find out what else you can do to maintain a positive mindset.

Getting a divorce can take a toll on your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health leaving you feeling broken and burnt out. The good news is that you can rebound from a life challenge such as this and start thriving again.
In today’s episode of Momma's Motivational Messages, Kelly Foster discusses her road back to finding herself and living in her purpose. One, of many, important points that Kelly makes is about the importance of looking inside yourself, first, when you're on the path to healing and rebuilding.
Kelly is a writer, speaker, advocate, author of “Dear Proverbs 31 Woman...Stop Making Me Look Bad!” and founder of the online women's ministry, Imperfectly His. Through her ministry, Kelly has helped hundreds of women embrace their imperfect stories to become healthy, whole and healed, while pursuing their passions with purpose.
Kelly's life’s motto is "Challenges are meant to propel your personal growth and empower your spiritual calling." Of the many golden nuggets Kelly shares with us in this episode, is her belief in the need to embrace your challenges, build strength from faith, and understand that any problem is only temporary. She is passionate about inspiring women to reclaim their most painful struggles instead of hiding them in shame.
