20- The Urban Legend Of The Black Eyed Kids

This week we talk about something a little lighter and not so murdery, as I bring you multiple different encounters that people have had with black eyed kids. Also known as BEK's! They appear like children ranging in age from 6-16. But, don't let their looks fool you, they may look like children but they don't at all act like children. They almost always show up in multiples. They bring with them an unfounded, unexplainable, unnerving amount of fear, dread, and impending doom. They only appear at night and no one knows exactly what it is that they want. But they can't come in unless you give them permission. So, whatever you do... don't let them in. Beware the legend of the black eyed kids.

1 RecommendationsMy apologies for this episode coming out a day later than scheduled, I thought I had more hours in the day than the standard 24 this week, and I was quickly proven wrong. Story of my life, but my life isn't as bad as Sylvia Likens life became when she met her new caretaker, Gertrude Bansizewski.
This week we're back at it with another really heavy and pretty well known case, the torture and murder of Sylvia Likens. Her parents trusted a women who they didn't know very well with the wellbeing of two of their five kids. This women was known for always having other people's kids around and being the house in the neighborhood that all of the kids would go to and hang out at after school, and it seemed like the ideal place to let their kids stay for a few months. Sylvia's parents had no way of knowing that this one mistake would end up being the reason for the tragic death of their 16 year old daughter, Sylvia. This is another one that will be hard to listen to, but not the hardest one I've covered. Happy listening!
