Intimacy and Deployment; asking Sexpert and Milspouse Courtney
08/23/21 • 28 min
How does mental health effect sex with your partner? What's considered cheating? How do you have intimate moments with your spouse while they are deployed? What's the "right way" to respond when your spouse does cheat? When's the "right time" to start talking to your kids about sex? Courtney, military spouse and Sexpert, answers all the burning questions we've seen on the spouses pages. This is not an episode for children's ears, but a great one to listen in private or with your spouse!
Courtney and I cover:
- Ways to be intimate with your spouse while deployed
- Ways mental illnesses like PTSD and depression can play in intimacy
- When to talk to your kids about sex
- What is cheating, how to avoid it, and what to do once it happens
- and more!
I got multiple requests for this type of episode, so even though it's not about business tips, it's about a common topic that a lot of people have questions about. I hope you enjoyed this slice and you can expect another episode with Courtney in season 3!

Relating Enneagram Types to Entrepreneurship with Milso Lisa
What does the enneagram have to do with entrepreneurship? That's the exact question I asked our guest, Lisa Winbolt, about on today's episode!
Lisa is an enneagram coach, helping military spouses, couples, and other women dive deep into why they behave, desire and are motivated by things the way that they do. Lisa is a military spouse, homeschool mama, and a full believer in the power of God and enneagram.
I asked Lisa questions like:
- What is the enneagram?
- What enneagram types are most common?
- What does each enneagram excel at? (Can you spot a type that stands out as your own?)
- What tests work to identify your type and which do not?

They're not going to initiate because there's so much effort. It's so much energy and they just don't have it as the healthier partner. If you have a partner who is struggling with mental illness or with depression, definitely
