Interview: Relaxation Response with Peg Baim, MS RN

This interview is so inspiring that I listen to it over and over again and it helps me every time. There are so many golden nuggets in this one. I definitely recommend downloading it and keeping it handy. Peg is a very special person to me and to all the countless other people she's taught and to those countless others affected by those she has taught! Incredibly humble and always ready with words of wisdom, Peg is the Clinical Director of the Center for Training at the Benson-Henry Institute where she has earned international recognition as a leading educator and lecturer in the field of mind-body medicine. She is the Director of the Stress Management and Resiliency Training (SMART) Program, an Adjunct Professor at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professions, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. Peg is a researcher and clinician who created innovative programs for patients and health care providers. So without further ado, my interview with one of my favorite people in the world.

Daily Dose: 3 Step Relaxation Response 10 min

No special place or clothes needed. Just find a quiet spot and sit. Just 20 min a day can change your brain over 8 weeks so you can manage stress, and overreact less. The Relaxation Response has a whole host of associated benefits like decreasing your inflammatory markers, decreasing blood pressure and really decreasing any disease process that are made worse by stress - too many to list here.
