This is quite possibly one of the most important episodes the "Mind. Body. Travel" team have ever put together.

If you only listen to one episode of our show, make sure it's this one. You will get a huge benefit to your mental health by turning your ears to the wisdom of Mike Finnigan from i2i.

The company slogan says it all:

Inspiring greatness. Empowering everyone.

That's probably why they're attracting the type of clients that they're working with.

Everyone from golfer Darren Clarke and the South African cricket team to Rolls Royce, and our partners Travel Counsellors.

During this conversation with Mike, you'll hear his fantastic advice on how to transform your mental health by doing some very simple exercises.

Here is the song he mentions. And here is the Steve Jobs quote.

Mike doesn't do "can't" as you'll hear, and before the end of the episode, you'll find yourself wondering how you got through life without Mike's wisdom.

Mike has a series of tools he uses, and some anecdotal proof of their effectiveness.

If that's not enough, you'll also hear Lizzie's own shocking story that backs up everything Mike offers in this episode.

Once you've listened to this episode, you'll definitely be in a much more positive mindset.

When you are, please take a moment to let us know your own story, and give us some feedback on this show, here.

We've spent a lot of time talking to travel industry experts about the various locations we love to send our customers off to, in order to inspire.

This time, we decided to get a customer to inspire us!

Amy has booked a number of travel trips with us and she's touched us by sharing with us the video footage of her family enjoying them.

Here's just one example of the many videos she's blessed us with!

In this episode, she tells us about her trips to Vietnam, Costa Rica, Antigua and Montserrat.

The Caribbean trip to Montserrat was a particularly special one for Amy and her family, as it's the home base of her heritage.

She has ties to the area that go back generations.

Before she delves into that particular journey, she tells us about the crazy traffic in Saigon.

She shares her joy of watching her children experiencing and interacting with the legacy of the Vietnam war.

We also hear about the calmness and serenity she enjoyed in Costa Rica.

Last but not least, we hear about the literally hair-raising flight she took on a chartered plane to Montserrat.

After listening to this episode, you'll probably want to take a trip to visit any family you have in other parts of the world.

As a trusted, accredited and highly rated travel agent, Lizzie would be happy to help you with that.

This episode is about Lizzie's spiritual home - Santa Barbara.

It may not be the first place people think about when it comes to Californian destinations, but it definitely shouldn't be the last either.

We're all about boosting mental wealth on this show, and this destination has previously had a profound positive impact on Lizzie's own mental health.

Jocilyn does a fantastic job of selling this less obvious west coast city to Colin. Although, recently, Colin's been an easy sell! Who can blame him? We're all pretty desperate to get anywhere right now...

Check out these incredible photos of the scenery you can expect if you decide to go to Santa Barbara on a trip booked with us.

Among some of the wonderful activities Jocilyn describes to us are enjoying a sip of wine while watching the sunset, getting up at the crack of dawn to watch the sunrise, and grabbing a goat for some much needed exercise.... Oh, yes. Seriously. Just listen!

We hope you'll agree, Jocilyn (pictured) does a magnificent job of describing this wonderful retreat in America.

Take a listen, and then check out Joci

Colin and Lizzie are joined by Kate Mackay, the author of Take It All On Board, a self-help book.

In it, Kate uses her journey learning to snowboard to help readers become comfortable with discomfort, and approach life with confidence. She also runs her very popular blog mummysnowboarder, which is the only UK blog to focus on snowboarding for women and families.

During this chat, you'll hear her talk about:

  • Why she started snowboarding in the first place.
  • How surfers and skateboarders can easily swap the spray and streets for the snow.
  • The many benefits of snowboarding for mental health.
  • Why age shouldn't hold you back from taking up the challenge of snowboarding.
  • Why you need to get on Google maps and find an indoor snow slope (not a dry one!)
  • Her suggested and personal favourite snowboarding spots.

In her nine-to-five, Kate is an NHS management consultant who applies her experience to help create lasting positive change within systems and people.

Kate also spreads the positivity outside of the NHS, using her skills as a certified professional and performance coach, helping private clients to achieve more than they thought possible.

In this chat, she also offers Lizzie and Colin some valuable insights regarding her work in this field, with thoughts on:

  • Social media and its impacts on people and well-being.
  • The many benefits of world travel on mental health.

We're sure we don't need to tell you how beneficial pilates is. You more than likely already know. However, what about the idea of doing it during a getaway to a gorgeous climate, aboard an incredible atmospheric pirate ship, out on the ocean?

Jill Robinson joins Colin and Lizzie to talk about her story starting off in a draining corporate job, eventually becoming the founder of Organic Pilates.

During this chat, you'll hear her inspirational story of how she took the plunge and quit the rat race to grab life by the horns, and thrive in the world of holistic health.

After a thankless job in the city, she overcame her fears and grabbed a venue she didn't think she could afford.

Since then, she's gone from strength to strength.

During the conversation, you'll hear her thoughts about pilates, and what she believes she can offer, that the average pilates instructor isn't able to.

Jill's been teaching fitness for over 20 years. She's also got the credentials to back it up, with the following accreditations:

CHEK Exercise Coach

CHEK Practitioner Level 1

CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach II
