John Knopke launched Health House in 2013 in Kansas City. Health House is a high-intensity, rowing-based fitness concept. Health House’s goal is to be a premiere boutique fitness and lifestyle brand offering a variety of unique rowing classes.They currently have two locations, including a new, state-of-the-art studio that launched in December 2017 in Los Angeles which is where I took a class and met Founder & CEO John Knopke. Jon Knopke has 14 years of professional fitness experience, including over 3 years at Equinox in Chicago. Through this experience, he pioneered a new type of full-body low-impact workout that combines rowing and strength-training. He is a husband to Melanie and a father of four.

Episode 95 - Cameron Weiss - Founder & CEO of Weiss Watch Company

Cameron Weiss launched Weiss Watch Company to restore prestige to American watchmaking. In his pursuit to tell stories of the great American watchmaking past, he turned to vintage gauges and aviation from which to pull design inspiration for his namesake brand in a thoroughly modern way. Each milestone of development - from the case construction and finishing to adding the hands to the timepiece - felt like a huge accomplishment. In the US, there are no off the shelf parts to compose a timepiece, so each step was a full engineering bottom to top process. I own a Weiss watch and am a huge fan of the brand and Cameron’s personal story. It was a privilege to go see him and record at his shop in California where he is now producing hundreds of Weiss Watches. He’s been on the cover of the LA Times, been featured in GQ and Weiss Watches are seen on the wrists of celebrities, athletes and collectors worldwide. He is a husband, father and esteemed craftsman.

Matt Williams is the Founder of FroPro. FroPro is a simple nutrient dense snack bar that tastes delicious. Matt started FroPro in his kitchen while working a nine to five job. On the surface, he had it all together. He was teaching private school and a varsity level coach but underneath that facade he was trapped in a self destructive cycle. Addiction does not define him but it is a central tenant of his story. His goal is to use his platform to educate, inspire and bring attention to recovery. He credits an incredible network of friends and family, including his wife Chelsea, helping him get and remain sober. With the creation of FroPro, he's aligned his actions with his passions and he has been able to accomplish his goals because of his experience with addiction, not in spite of it. He is the real deal and FroPro is a real deal product.
