Mel Bampton Presents...How Human

What happens when you’re on a very straighty one eighty trajectory climbing the conditioned tiers of Christion upbringing, devoted wife, mother and Corporate CEO and then for the first time you take magic mushrooms at a festival in Portuagal and you have your mind blown out of the crown of your head, along with everything that was programmed into you to that point, and suddenly all you thought life was, is no longer holding true?
For Trauma-Informed Educator, Holly Rhodes it set in motion an odyssey of grand exploration - uprooting everything in her luxurious very corporate London life to find out what the hell happened in that pyschedelic experience and found herself going so deep into different spiritual studies, to living life between her new found place in the Kimberley region of northern Australia as well as with the phenomenal Aboriginal Women Elders of Balgo, who schooled her about life, the universe and everything, in one of the most remote Indigenous communities, with some of the most powerful law and knowledge keepers, in the world. This is a story of going where you never thought your life could go, to places and people you didn’t even know existed, by giving yourself permission to simply step through those doors one after another as they open up in front of you and find a purpose that no school counsellor ever offered up as possibility.
Special and vital acknowledgment to the Law Women of Kapululangu and Auntie Alison and the Mutitjulu Law Women for the work they do with the women's culture camps. If you're interested in the next one 28th March - 1st April 2023, you can email [email protected] for more info & the application form. More amazing camps planned in The Kimberley next year!
Holly Rhodes is a therapist who incorporates ceremonial healing, integrative therapies, community development and spiritual healing. She weaves a wealth of knowledge and experience into cultural immersions with Australia’s First Nations women.

She currently co-ordinates Women’s Culture Camps at Uluru with senior Elders who hold traditional Law ceremonies, in addition to deep for healing for participants.
Holly studied her own European culture through a degree in Art History and English Literature at Roehampton University in London. S
She is a Founder of the Strong Leeyan Collective, an initiative to support the development of Wellbeing and Empowerment hubs throughout the Kimberley where people can heal and educate themselves to be empowered in living more sustainably.

The Heart Of Life's Great Guarantee with Sara Tindley

Some of life's deepest and most important conversations are so often never had. Instead they languish behind the constructed veil of taboo or impoliteness, the most profound wisdoms left unshared. Leaving us all languishing in our own contemplative isolation
Sara Tindley has had a year none of us could conceive - thick with the heaviest blanket of grief, forced to acknowledge her own mortality, a catastrophic flood, all whilst being deeply engaged in motherhood, partnerhood, in the grand satisfaction of farming and the significance of writing songs to make sense of it all.
In just a year, lives completely changed - the loss of a daughter, a re-diagnosis and the most catastrophic of floods. This conversation is a profoundly rare opportunity to hear wisdom from inside the place we are all walking toward. It's a conversation of enduring the pains of human life and of the beauty and poetry that grows alongside.
If you're in the Northern Rivers, book your ticket for this remarkable woman's album launch Thursday 10th of November at Lismore's @theatrestarcourt And to witness the brilliance of Sara's gifted daughter Lily Bell-Tindley, watch the exquisitely moving Australian film Lou, in which she stars.
@saratindley and her brand new record Greetings From Lake St Clair. Starring on this episode of Lissie Turner Presents...
