These last couple of weeks, I have had the absolute pleasure of adding another bestie into my friendship circle. Sydney Barnett, a singer-songwriter from Louisville (pronounced looerval), Kentucky, USA, is such a sweetheart and a naturally emerging talent who discovered her voice for music during the pandemic. Of course, I just had to get her into the Karma Art Club for a paint session and a little chat. This is probably one of the most fun and creative interviews I have ever conducted. We discuss all sorts of topics, from the challenges in the changing landscape of the music industry to how to set people up to give you constructive feedback and the importance of fan-based support for creatives. We even do a duet for one of the remaining members of The Beatles.
