Mary's Cup of Tea: the Self-Love Podcast for Women
09/02/21 • 43 min
At our previous retreat, there was 1 retreat sister who couldn‘t figure out what she wanted when it came to her relationship. Without sharing details, she was at a crossroad in her life. Usually in this situation, everyone says ”follow your heart! do what makes you happy!” But nobody tells you exactly HOW to do that. Like what is the difference between a gut instinct and irrational fear? How do you know when you‘re listening to your own heart when you‘ve been listening to your parents, your partner, your friends for so long? How is it that some people are so in touch with their heart and soul and higher selves and others are so disconnected and struggle to make decisions, let alone be confident in them?
You will learn...
Exactly what‘s getting in the way of you following your heart
3 questions to ask yourself when you‘re at a crossroad in life
The # 1 thing you MUST do if you want to reconnect to yourself
Remember: Following your heart is not equivalent to making perfect decisions all the time. It‘s about what opportunities and adventures and lessons can come from your heart-centered decisions.

It’s time to stop apologizing for taking up space, to say the weird thing, and to bet on yourself—even when it feels clunky, messy, or downright scary. From trying new things to dressing a little less “perfect” and a lot more “you,” this episode is all about stepping into bold, unapologetic self-expression.
You’ll feel inspired to:
- Take risks, no matter how small or unconventional.
- Lean into tension and embrace your own contradictions.
- Make moves that make you squeal with delight (even if no one else gets it).
Let’s kick off 2025 with more audacity, more weirdness, and a whole lot more FAFO energy. You in?

#22: Why I'm In Therapy
Mary's Cup of Tea: the Self-Love Podcast for Women
06/25/20 • 35 min
A solo, personal episode with Mary where she shares her reasons for going to therapy. Unfortunately, there is a big stigma around getting mental health support unless there's something "wrong" with you. Mary talks about why she was afraid to start therapy in the first place and what made her finally commit to it for the past 2 months.
Getting support for your mental health shouldn't be something that's shameful- it shoud be a natural part of preventative mental health! Like taking your vitamins, eating veggies, and getting enough sleep- things we do to support our health BEFORE we are sick.
Thank you for listening as Mary shares some really personal things!
