Looks That Kill

Five-year-old, Summer Moon-Utah Wells was reported missing the evening of Tuesday, June 15, 2021 when she disappeared from her home on Ben Hill Road in Rogersville, Tennessee.
When she disappeared, she was 3 feet tall, weighed 40 lbs, had really short blonde hair, and had blue eyes. Her parents said she loved to play princess but was very much a tomboy who always kept her brothers in line. She played with them all the time, and was really close with her brother closest in age, Waylon. Summer was one of four children living in the home. Her mother described Summer as “the boss of the family.”
She was reported to be barefoot and wearing a pink shirt and gray shorts before she went missing.
Authorities say nearly 400 people go missing in Tennessee each year. That’s five people for every 100,000.
Artists with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children created a photo of what Summer Wells is expected to look like as of June 14, 2023. February 4, 2023 was her 7th birthday.
No one has been charged in Summer’s disappearance to date. The TBI asked that speculation from unofficial sources not be shared with investigators and only credible tips be passed along.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office at 423-272-7121 or the TBI at 800-TBI-FIND.

undefined - ROBERT HANSEN

ROBERT HANSEN

Robert Hansen appeared to be a normal man, trusted by many people in his community. He owned a small bakery, had a wife and children, and was known as a good friend. Until one day, when a distressed woman came forward and told police she had been kidnapped by someone who she described looking like Robert Hansen. Police would soon find out that Robert had been killing women for over 10 years and would hunt his victims like prey in a remote area in the Alaskan wilderness, that is only accessible by boat or plane.

In this episode, we talk about Roberts horrific crimes and his troubled early life. This guy is a piece of work.

The book “Butcher Baker” by Leland E. Hale and Walter Gilmour was read in preparation for this case.

GYPSY ROSE BLANCHARD

The case of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her abusive mother, Dee Dee. Their story is very strange and sad. For her entire life, Gypsy received medical treatment for conditions she did not have. Dee Dee claimed her daughter had muscular dystrophy, leukemia, seizures, learning disabilities and more.

None of this is true. Dee Dee was the true sick one. She suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, which is a is a mental illness and a form of child abuse. The caretaker of a child, most often a mother, either makes up fake symptoms or causes real symptoms to make it look like the child is sick.

In 2015, Gypsy organized her mothers murder so she could escape the abuse. In this episode we will discuss Gypsy and Dee Dee’s lives and what lead to Dee Dee’s murder.
