Hey Everyone,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Tea Time With Mr. Belvedere: A Mr. Belvedere Podcast.
A child dealing with the death of someone is always a touchy subject but it’s even harder when the child feels guilty thinking they caused the person’s death as Wesley does in S2E4: Requiem which aired on October 18, 1985
In this episode Wesley blames himself when his accordion teacher dies during a lesson; he wished something would bad would happen to him, and by coincidence, it did.
Also in this episode Heather learns to walk in high heels which is Plot B.
We also learn that Kevin knows how to waltz from all the dancing lessons Marsha had him take.
Marsha gets a book from the library for her and George
titled Sexual Dilemma: Road Map To The 80’s.
As much sexual innuendos as George throws out there, I don’t think he and Marsha have any issues or dilemmas with their sex life.
I also talk about dealing with the first death in my family when I was 7, my grandfather passed away (my mom’s father).
I remember falling asleep at the funeral.
Join me next week for S2E16: Wesley's Friend which aired on January 31, 1986.
In this episode Wesley is supposed to play William Howard Taft in the school's Presidents' Day pageant, but an opening to play Abraham Lincoln comes up. The boy who was supposed to play Lincoln, Wesley's friend Danny, has been pulled out of school because he got AIDS from a blood transfusion. Not knowing anything about the virus, Wesley believes what his friends tell him about it and becomes afraid of Danny.
Have a great day and see you next week!
