Our highest order of authority is the Word of God. The second is the law of the land. The US is a nation founded on the Word of God and there was initially no separation of church and state. Woodrow Wilson pushed a secular and humanistic agenda which started to influence our government. God doesn’t want leadership of a nation separated from His Word. Thus, God has been removed from American law in many areas. Secondarily, Jesus said that the whole kingdom of God operates on the principle of sowing and reaping. This is a foundational truth that we need to have in place in our daily lives if we are going to be accountable to the authority of God's Word. Sowing is not only financial, but effort, gifting, and time. The Church's voice needs to be heard in the political realm. It is time that we go back to work, and we need to let our political leaders hear from us. Pastor Mac's personal opinion given on our use of civil responsibility.
